Apricot Ginger Barbecue Sauce

Cook Time:  25 minutes
Yield:  1 cup, approximately

  • 1 cup apricot nectar
  • 3/4 cup Karo® Dark Corn Syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Spice Islands® Ground Ginger
  • 2 to 3 drops hot pepper sauce
  1. Combine nectar, corn syrup, soy sauce, ginger, and pepper sauce in a 2-quart saucepan. Bring to boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.


  2. Reduce heat; simmer 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mixture is almost reduced by one half (about 1 cup sauce should remain). Cool.


  3. Brush sauce on chicken, pork chops or ribs during last 15 to 20 minutes of grilling, turning frequently.
