Glazed Acorn Squash

Ingredients

  • 2 medium acorn squash, halved and seeded
  • 1-1/2 cups cold tap water
  • 1/3 cup Karo® Light OR Dark Corn Syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter OR margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Place squash cut-side down in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish; add water. Bake 30 minutes or until squash is fork tender. Turn squash cut-side up. Combine corn syrup, butter, cinnamon and salt in a small bowl. Spoon corn syrup mixture into squash cavities.
  3. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F. Bake 15 minutes or until fork tender, basting occasionally.
