Hot Pineapple Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
  • 1/2 cup Karo® Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated lime peel
  • 1/8 teaspoon red crushed pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Grilled or broiled chicken or pork cubes or chilled large shrimp

Directions

  1. Combine pineapple, corn syrup, vinegar, lime peel, crushed red pepper, ginger and salt in a food processor or blender. Blend 2 to 3 seconds until mixture resembles chunky sauce.
  2. Pour into a small saucepan. Stirring frequently, bring to boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium and boil 8 to 10 minutes or until thick.
