Ingredients
2 tablespoons Karo® Light Corn Syrup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 to 6 tablespoons half & half
1/2 cup butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon maple flavor
Directions
Combine corn syrup, brown sugar and 4 tablespoons half & half in a medium microwave safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100%) 30 to 45 seconds until mixture begins to boil. Stir to dissolve sugar. Cool slightly.
Combine butter, powdered sugar and corn syrup mixture in a large mixer bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until very smooth. If frosting is too thick, add additional half & half, 1 tablespoon at a time to reach desired consistency.
Use 1-1/4 cups frosting for each cooled cake layer.
