Sweet and Tangy Cocktail Sausages

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Karo® Dark OR Light Corn Syrup
  • 1/4 cup coarse grained mustard
  • Dash chili powder
  • 1 pound cocktail sausages

Directions

  1. Microwave Preparation: Combine corn syrup, mustard and chili powder in a large microwave-safe bowl. Stir to combine. Add cocktail sausages and stir to coat. Microwave on HIGH (100% power) for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally until sausages are hot.
  2. Stovetop preparation: Combine corn syrup, mustard and chili powder in a medium saucepan. Add cocktail sausages and stir to coat. Heat over medium heat until sausages are hot and sauce has come to a boil, about 10 minutes.
  3. Slow cooker preparation: Combine corn syrup, mustard and chili powder in a small (about 1-1/2 quart) slow cooker. Add cocktail sausages and stir to coat. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours or LOW for 3 to 4 hours.
  4. Variations: Try these variations in place of chili powder: Cajun seasoning, ground chipotle, Chinese 5-Spice or curry powder.
